Quick start

This guide covers the first ten minutes with a GeoTwin appliance or a hosted deployment.

Before you begin

  • The console or platform address from your administrator.
  • An account and the edition you should use: Personal or Enterprise.
  • One small data set (a 3D Tiles package, a Shapefile or a GeoTIFF) to test the workflow.

1. Connect and open the console

Connect the appliance to power and to your network. The console opens on the appliance display. From another computer on the same network, open the console address provided by your administrator.

2. Sign in

On the website header, open Log in and choose the edition:

Edition Hong Kong Mainland China
Personal app.geotwin.cc app.geotwin.cn
Enterprise server.geotwin.cc server.geotwin.cn

The two entries share the same account system but expose different workspaces. Ask your administrator which one to use.

3. Import data

Open the data manager, create or select a project and upload your test data. Check the coordinate system, bounding box and height offset after import.

4. Publish a service

Publish the imported layer as a 3D Tiles, terrain, imagery or feature service. Keep the service name stable; scenes and applications reference it.

5. Build a scene

Open the scene editor, add the published layer, set the opening camera and save the scene. Add a bookmark for the view users will need most.

6. Open an application

Choose the application that matches the task: GeoBI for dashboards, GeoApp for map applications, GeoSurvey for survey projects, GeoAI for detection, GeoFly for low-altitude operations or GeoCapture for reconstruction.
